EXCLUSIVE: JB Perrette has established his leadership for his global streaming team.
The CEO, who is CEO and President, Global Streaming and Interactive at Warner Bros. Discovery, has reorganized his team and structure as part of a series of changes.
Among the departures are Johannes Larcher, GM of International, Luis Duran, GM LatAm, Sarah Lyons, EVP Product, and Jason Press, CTO and Head of Engineering.
Earlier today, it was revealed that Brad Wilson, US GM and EVP, Global Data, CRM and Growth, is also leaving as part of these changes.
It comes after Deadline announced that Tom Ascheim is leaving as president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classic and Brett Weitz, general manager of TNT, TBS and TruTV.
“Difficult decisions must be made when two talented companies are brought together and there is never just one way to organize or select leaders, but please know that I have done my best to thoroughly and thoughtfully build a leadership team and structure , which I believe sets us up for victory,” he wrote in an internal memo to employees seen by Deadline.
“That’s the hardest part…these are all extremely talented leaders, longtime colleagues and friends of many of you, and their contribution to the success of HBO Max cannot be overstated. It’s an incredible achievement to take HBO Max from one country to 61 and quickly position the service as one of the most in-demand among consumers,” he added.
Elsewhere, Meredith Gertler will lead content strategy, scheduling and editorial/merchandising, supporting both Casey Bloys and Perrette working for HBO and the streaming products. Lisa Holme comes on to report to Gertler and Alison Farber comes on under Holme.
Michael Bishara will lead Digital Studios Group, reporting to Kathleen Finch and be a member of the streaming executive team. Alex Wellen continues to lead MotorTrend Group as President & GM.
Leah Hooper for EMEA, Jason Monteiro for APAC, Juan Sola for LatAm and Michael Bishara for North America will be the regional streaming leaders reporting to Perrette and also part of the respective leadership teams of Priya Dogra and Kasia Kieli in EMEA, Clement Schwebig and James Gibbons in APAC and Fernando Medin in LatAm.
