Related Video: Surveillance footage of the Alabama Correctional Officer at the hotel before he disappears with an inmate
Dramatic police footage captured the moment murder suspect Casey White was arrested in Indiana and the body of his lover, Vicky White, the prison guard, was pulled from her crashed vehicle.
A 10-day nationwide manhunt for Ms. White, a 56-year-old correctional officer from Alabama, and White, an inmate serving a 75-year sentence and awaiting trial for murder, ended Monday night in a chase and an accident in Evansville. Ms White died from what the coroner said was a self-inflicted gunshot wound and White was taken into custody.
When he was handcuffed, White allegedly urged officers to help his “wife” and insisted he not shoot her. The couple are said to have been in a romantic relationship for around two years, but police say they were not married.
Meanwhile, Ms White’s final words were revealed in a chilling 911 call, during which she said: “Let’s get out there and run” and accused White of wanting to stay “at a friggin’ motel” briefly before apparently getting her head around lap.
An investigation into the ordeal is ongoing as police face mounting questions about how the fugitives evaded capture for over a week.
Dramatic footage of Casey White tasing himself emerges
Dramatic footage has emerged from years ago of Casey White repeatedly shocking herself with a stun gun.
That Daily Mail claimed exclusive access to the video, filmed a few years ago, showing White playing with the taser at a pawn shop.
He can also be seen in the video with a wedding ring.
The report adds that White holds the taser in his right hand and shoots it to his left arm. He looks untouched.
White was arrested Monday in Evanston, Indiana, after spending 11 days on the run with his lover, Vicky White, the prison guard.

The US Marshal Service announced a reward totaling $15,000 for information leading to White’s arrest and information about Ms. White, and Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey offered a total of $10,000 for the couple’s arrest .

How did Casey White end up in the facility where Vicky White worked?
Casey White, the alleged murder suspect who escaped prison and was on the run for 10 days, was not originally held at the facility where Correctional Officer Vicky White worked.
Mr. White was originally held at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility, just down the road from the Lauderdale County Detention Center where Ms. White worked.
According to Fox News, when Mr White’s lawyers asked Donaldson to allow them to bring laptops to discuss their case with their client, they were denied. Instead of trying to persuade the prison to change its mind, the lawyers are demanding that Mr. White be transferred to the prison where they could review her case.
Mr White – who was already communicating discreetly with Ms White – was granted a transfer which took him to the same prison where Ms White worked and set the stage for the breakout.

ICYMI: Casey White told officers he did not kill Connie Ridgeway when he was being pulled from a wrecked car
An additional case report filed by the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office reveals new details from the moment Casey White surrendered to authorities and was taken into custody, while Vicky White was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
In the report, Sgt. Erik Nilssen describes how he approached the crime scene Monday after hearing the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force appeal for assistance.
“When male suspect Casey White was pulled from the vehicle, I handcuffed him. Mr. White had blood on his shirt and blood was coming out of the back of his head,” Sgt Nilssen wrote.
He then enlisted the help of a local firefighter to treat White’s head injury.
“During my interaction with Mr. White, he repeatedly inquired about the condition of Ms. Vicky White, whom he referred to as his ‘wife,'” Sgt. Nilssen wrote. “Mr White also kept saying he didn’t kill Connie Ridgeway.”
These statements were reportedly unsolicited, as Sergeant Nilssen wrote that he “didn’t ask him any formal questions”.
White is currently awaiting trial for the 2015 stabbing murder of 58-year-old mother-of-two Connie Ridgeway.
Ms. Ridgeway was found stabbed to death at her home in Rogersville, Alabama on October 23, 2015.

Vicky White has been voted Employee of the Year five times and will be honored again this week
Before jail warden Vicky White was accused of helping her prison lover Casey White escape, she was not only well liked by her Lauderdale County peers, but so respected that she received the Employee of the Year award five times – including just this year.
The 56-year-old correctional officer was tracked down Monday alongside 38-year-old murder suspect Casey White, with whom she has reportedly had a “special relationship” for the past two years, bringing the 11-day manhunt to a close.
Ms. White had received the award voted on by her peers five times in the past eight years. The New York Post reported.
“I think it just shows the kind of person we thought she was. No one who worked with her and knew her saw anything like this coming,” Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said in an interview with The post On Wednesday.

ICYMI: How Casey White and Guard Vicky White stayed on the run
It didn’t help that fugitive lovers Casey White and Vicky White (no relation) had a six-hour head start on law enforcement when they broke out of the Lauderdale County Jail. But no one could have predicted that the deputy director of the correctional facility and the 38-year-old murder suspect would be on the run for 11 days.
But the nationwide manhunt came to a dramatic end on Monday with a police chase, a car crash and Ms White allegedly shooting herself.
Read on for the full story, which highlights some of the apparent missed opportunities that allowed the officer and inmate to slip through the net for more than a week.
