Elon Musk picks holes in Twitter algorithm and offers 3 steps; Jack Dorsey says… | world news

Elon Musk’s Twitter deal has been paused, but the multi-billionaire hasn’t stopped tweeting via Twitter, and for one of those tweets, in which he revealed the sample size of a bot check, Elon Musk also received a call from Twitter’s legal department .

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, whose $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter has been put on hold, offered his followers three simple steps to “fix” the Twitter feed. The multi-billionaire said: “You are being manipulated by the algorithm in ways you don’t realize. It’s easy to switch back and forth to see the difference.” According to the SEC filing, Elon Musk was barred from posting tweets about his Twitter acquisition if it disparaged the company or any of its officials.

So what are these 3 steps that Elon Musk suggests?

1. Tap the Home button.

2. Tap Stars at the top right of the screen

3. Select “Recent Tweets”.

“This message was brought to you by enlightenment,” added Elon Musk sarcastically.

As Elon Musk continues his habit of tweeting randomly, Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey decided to respond to Elon Musk’s apparent complaint about Twitter’s algorithm. In response to Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey said the algorithm was simply designed “to save you time when you’re not on the app for a while. Drag to refresh also returns to reverse chronology.”

Elon Musk’s Twitter deal temporarily put on hold due to spam/fake accounts. Twitter said fake or spam accounts accounted for less than 5% of its monetizable daily active users. Elon Musk’s team will conduct a random sample of 100 Twitter followers to find out more about the fake accounts. Disclosing the sample size got Elon Musk in the soup when he received a call from Twitter’s legal department accusing him of violating the non-disclosure agreement. “This actually happened,” Elon Musk tweeted in disbelief.

“Whoever thought owning the Libs[Liberals]was cheap never tried to acquire a social media company… At least that’s what the Lib hivemind thinks, haha,” Musk tweeted.
